Hi Everyone it's Beck BT here and I'm sharing with you a sweet card I made with lots of pretty Bella!

I'm still loving the stitching look and today I wanted to incorporate some sewing machine stitching to my card.

Products Used:

Bella!  True Romantic Paperz - Wave
Bella!  True Romantic Paperz - Lovehearts
Franchville Card and Envelope pack - Colour 50 pk
Fundamentals Sentiments pack
Fundamentals Doily pack
Fundamentals Butterflies Spring Pack
Blue Twine

I thought I would take you through how I created my card today.

I started out with cutting some large strips from the pattern papers

Next I took a piece of white card stock and ran a line of glue down the centre and around the edge avoiding where I would be adding the stitching holes around the edges.

I then adhered the strips in the desired order to the cardstock.

After trimming the piece to the desired size (just a little smaller than the blue card base) I added some zig zag stitching to the joins of the different patterns.

I didn't want more actual stitching but instead decided on stitching holes around the eges.  I simply removed the cotton from the needle on the sewing machine to achieve this.

To finish my card I adhered the above piece to a blue card base and then embellished with a doily, some blue butterflies in various patterns, a blue twine bow and my sentiment.

Here are a few more pics so you can get up close to it.

I love how the card came and I hope to brighten someones day with it real soon!

I hope you enjoyed my share today.

Scrapbooking a journey - the first of many

Hi Everyone, It's Beck Beattie here with a share today.  I've decided to create a layout for my share today and it is one that is very fitting to me at the moment.  Having taken up running I decided to create my first scrapbook page about it.  Here it is!

I added a little grung in my page today simply because, well running isn't all roses, it is tough work and you have to grit your teeth to get through at times, but I love it and it makes me happy so I figured the team up of pretty and grunge works perfectly on my page!

I really love how my page came together teaming up the two... pretty and grunge.  Check out my tutorial showing how my page came together.

First I started out by spraying a little of the Jeni B Bleu Vibes spray to a little plastic.  I then used this plastic to transfer the colour to my page.  Pressing it down for a mottled watercolour effect.

Next I sprayed a little of the Before Dawn Vibes spray to a little plastic, repeating the process.  I also removed the spray nozzle from the bottle and used the pipe to add a little splatter of the same colour for a little more of a grungy feel.

I then took the Gummy Berry Blue Dazzlers paste and added a little stencilling to my backgroung as well.  These teamed up with the sweet Bella! Papers made the perfect base for my scrapbook page.

Here are more pictures for you to enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed my share today!

Yummy glittery goodness

Hi Everyone it's Beck BT here again and today I decided to team up some glittery goodness with my dies for a sweet effect.  I've also thrown in some of the fun Fundamentals embellishments as they are too sweet for words!

Products Used:

Bella! Glitter cardstock in White
Franchville Card and Envelope pack
Fundamentals Sentiments
Fundamentals ribbon bows

I thought I would take you through the process of creating my card today.

To start I added a little gesso to the pink card base with my finger.

I also die cut 3 of these vine circles from the white glitter cardstock.  It die cuts so well and is a really neat way to use glitter cardstock as it adds the most beautiful accent to your projects in this way.  It is probably my favourite way to use glitter cardstock!

Next I took some die cut leaves and gave them a coat of my Shimmerz Creameez paint in Green Acres and allowed them to dry.

I also added some Shimmerz Creameez to my background by splattering and then softening the splatter with a pice of plastic.

I also added a little green splatter to the background in the same colour Creameez added to the leaves.

I didn't want such a large sentiment for this card so I decided to cut the sentiment strip up and add it in two parts to finish my card.

Hope you enjoyed my share today with a touch of Glitter!

2017/18 Kaisercraft Design Team Application

Hi Everyone, I'm here today to share my project created as part of the Kaisercraft Design Team call. How exciting to be creating as part of the second round.  I have always loved creating with Kaisercraft's fun products, so with getting a box full of Kaisercraft goodies including the new 'Lilac Whisper' Collection, I was instantly in heaven!

I love the purple colour of Lilac, so I was so excited when I opened the box.  This collection is so versatile and whilst mostly feminine, it really crosses all ages.  I gained so much inspiration from the patterns and colours alone in the collection which really felt timeless to me so I decided on scrapbooking a picture of a friends little girl for my project share today.  The picture I decided to scrapbook really reminded me of an old photo depicting the span of time.  I love that I was able to use a modern photo and give my page a real 'Shabby Chic' feel which I felt worked so well with the products I was creating with.

Here is my sweet page I created.  I enjoyed getting away from my many masculine pages of my boys to create a page of one of their friends!

Kaisercraft Products Used:

Kaisercraft 'Lilac Whisper' Collection Collection - Echo
Kaisercraft 'Lilac Whisper' Collection Collection - Mauve
Kaisercraft 'Lilac Whisper' Collection Collection - Collectables
Kaisercraft Mini Designer Template - Blossom
Kaisercraft Lucky Dip Wooden Flourish Pack - Bouquet

Other products Used:
Gesso
Modelling Paste

I really loved teaming up the pattern paper collection with other Kaisercraft stamples to create my page.  I'd love to show you how it came together, so I have included a process video.   Make sure you have the sound on so I can take you through all the details!

For some additional detail, here are some step photos to take you through the process as well.

People usually use stamps for stamping with ink, but one of my favourite things to do is stamp with acrylic paint.  Seeing Kaisercraft had beautifully matching tones of paint to this collection it made an easy team up!  So you can have a go at creating my page I'm going to take you through the process step by step, teamed up with watching the video I hope you'll find it super easy!

Start out by using the stencil to add some of the 'Blossom' texture to the background with some modelling paste.  This is a little hard to see, but comes up a little more with the next step so I'm showing them together.

For the stamped effect you simply some paint to a craft sheet (as you can see on the right of the photo) and then use the brick stamp to stamp into the paint and then onto the background.  This gives a softer look for the stamped effect and also enables you to match the colour better as you can always mix paint easier than mixing ink pads.  It also achieves a softer look.

Tear the corrugated cardstock and add a coat of Gesso for a more Shabby Chic feel.
I love the versatility of the cardstock and how easy you can make it any colour you like!

Tie the corrugate cardstock into the page by adding some of the same colour paint as you used to stamp into the background using a wet wipe to sponge over some colour onto the corrugated cardstock, mainly over the edges and a little over the top randomly.

Add some gesso to the wood veneers, along with some of the Mauve paint for a sweet element for the page.

I needed a little added balance to the page but not such a large flower, by altering the flower you have just enough flower to tuck under and add that balancing colour element.  You can save the rest for another project!

To add a little strength to the title, add a strip of cardboard behind.  It will give a little dimension and sit better.

To finish the page add some splatter with the various coloured Kaiser Mists.   Adding a little of the 'Blackberry' colour onto your craft sheet and then using a wet wipe add a little of this colour randomly onto the corrugated cardstock.  This helps tie all the colours in nicely.

I hope you enjoyed watching my page come together and I've inspired you to get creative!  Hope you have your fingers crossed for me to be successful in this Second Round of the Design team Call!  I'm going to leave you with a few more pictures of the page and all the fun details I added.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Crafting
