WOW I can't believe that Melbourne Paperific Expo is just one week away! I am so very excited to be bringing Scrappy Chat Designs to the expo. We will have a stand selling the kits, some products and of course Tinby Designs Color Crush Watercolour powders! I am also going to be teaching a number of classes. After them being so very popular we have increased the classroom size to enable more people to come along and #GetCreativeWithBeckBT It's going to be so much fun!

Mixed Media Reverse Canvas
Saturday 27th 10:00am
Have you thought mixed media projects are beyond your level
feeling more of a beginner or not that ‘Arty’?
Well come along to Beck’s Mixed Media reverse canvas class where she
will de-mystify the world of mixed media with her no stress approach to
layering and getting your hands dirty.
Suitable for all levels you are sure to have the ‘Ahhhh I
can do this!’ moment. In this class we
will have fun creating a textured reverse mixed media canvas. We will be sure to finish in the allotted
class time having you walk away with a stunning piece you will find hard to
part with while in Beck’s signature teaching style; learning lots of different
techniques along the way.
To create our stunning canvas we will be using various
products including, divine IndigoBlu artist quality metallic cottage paints
(you will see how truly amazing these are in the class) in a number of ways,
Tinby Designs Color Crush watercolour powders, DecoArt Crackle medium, Seth
Apter signature dies and IndigoBlu Megaflake to name a few.
Students will receive a pre-class video covering ‘what to
bring’ to the class.
Explore Indigoblu

Explore mixed media with IndigoBlu. In this class we will be
creating a mixed media page and separate canvas exploring the use of many
different Indigoblu products indluding
IndigoBlu's divine metallic paints, stamps, FlutterGlu and Mega-Flakes! We will also be teaming that up with the use
of Spellbinders dies in some different ways creating loads of fun to be had in
class!
Explore Masculine styles class
Creating cards and layouts for the masculine half can be a
little more challenging. With age often
playing a part we will be exploring some tips and techniques for tailoring them
to various aged males and also ideas for more masculine styles. With the cards we will move from
little boys to teenage boys through to older men. Using similar products in varying ways you
will be armed with ideas on how you can better tailor masculine cards to age,
while still making some really cool looking cards. If you choose to create the layout you'll learn some tips and ideas for creating more masculine pages while learning new techniques and experimenting with various products along the way. We will also delve into some mixed media in
this class in an effort to help grunge it up, working with sprays, stencils,
gesso and texture paste, as well as textures from Shimmerz and Metallic Melts
by Tinby Designs.
Come along and create a scrapbook page or 3 cards all
designed for you to explore your inner masculine style!
Watercolour Powders Unleashed
Saturday August 27th 1am & Sunday August 28th 10am
Have you been hearing about the numerous watercolour powders
on the market and want to give them a go? Watercolours come in so many
varieties and in this class we will be exploring the powdered form as a feature
with Colour Crush Watercolour powders. This REALLY hot trend in water colouring
is so much fun and Beck BT wants to show you how using her ‘Homegrown’ version
of these by Tinby Designs.
In this class we will be creating two Scrapbooking, OR Art Journal pages, OR 2 cards (the choice
is yours), learning numerous techniques for working with these amazing bursts
of powdery colour. Examples will be
provided for all versions, cards, Scrapbooking pages AND Art Journal
pages.
