Merry Christmas to you and yours

Wow where did the year go!  It's already Christmas day and the end of the year is just around the corner.  It is nice and warm here in Australia for Christmas, but I must day I always dream of one day experiencing a white Christmas.  I was inspired by this sweet and elegant Christmas card.

I created two colours of this card one in a teal foil colour as well.  They looked so sweet!  So much so that I thought I would share a process video displaying how it came together.  You will see in the video how quick with a little preparation you can produce a number of these at the same time.  I'm not one for mass producing OR even doing something twice, but I must say I loved creating this card and creating it multiple times.  It was sweet to watch each beautiful card come together!

Here you can see the beautiful layers and all their details!  The the thing I probably love most about Spellbinders dies is how they all co-ordinate together so well.  The Build a wreath die set was just perfect for the 3D embossing folder with them each complimenting each other.

Products Used:

Spellbinders 3D Rustic Wreath embossing folder
Spellbinders Celebra'tions Fun Sentiments die set
Spellbinders Lace and Frills die set
Spellbinders Build a Wreath die set

Bazzill Cardstock in pearl white
Bazzill Cardstock in Gold foil
Bella Fundamentals white glitter cardstock
Silver sequin stars
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam squares
Kaisercraft square white card set

I want to take a minute to wish you a Wonderful Christmas full of fun laughter and lasting memories.  Enjoy the day and make it a special one!

Early Christmas Scrapbooking with Ruby Rock-it

Hi Everyone I'm here today getting in early with my 2015 Christmas scrapbooking.  I have created this scrapbook page ready for the perfect family photos to be taken on Christmas day this year.

I had fun creating this page with the divine papers from the collection teamed up with matching die cuts and 3D stickers.  To add a little more Christmas theme to the page I die cut the poinsettia flowers with the Spellbinders layered poinsettia die set.  I also used the negative of the die cut to stencil more of the design into the background with some texture paste and glitter added over the top.

To add my photos in later I have left an opening on each frame that I can slip the photos in once they have been taken.

Here are some pictures showing the openings as well as some details of the page.

Products Used:

RG Make Amazing Happen Sneak Reveal blog hop and giveaway!!

Hi Everyone, I'm here to share with you as part of the RG Make Amazing Sneak Blog hop.  While I have had the pleasure of using Richard Garay's Celebrations line for some time now there are new RG collections on the way and we are so excited to be providing you all with a sneak into these divine collections.

This week we are giving you a look into the new 'Make Amazing Happen' collection.  This collection is fun and bright and so divine to create with!  Considering my motto is 'Make It Count - Be Amazing' this collection couldn't be more me!  I LOVE the inspirational feel to the whole collection!

I decided to create two projects to share with you today.  A Scrapbook page of my talented scrappy friends who always make amazing with my Scrappy Chat kits so I thought the collection was a perfect fit, and an inspirational frame, perfect for gift giving!

For this scrapbook page I used the colorful side of the 'oh so pretty' papers in the collection.  The reverse of these papers are all black and white which is really cool as well.

I teamed it up with some
'Fun Stampers Journey' products in ink pads, paint, Journey Glaze, modelling paste as well as their divine tools - scissors, stencils and acrylic blocks.

The title for the page is easily created by first stamping with black ink onto white cardstock and then using the co-ordinating die you can easily place it over the stamped image, secure with some low tac tape (I use washi tape) and then die cut the title out.

I stamped the flowers onto some additional white paper and then fussy cut them out for some added dimension to the page.  Finished off with some dimensional glaze they make the perfect embellishment to the page!

For added background interest I used the Make Amazing Happen stamp, to stamp in the background with the Banana Cream ink pad.

For a second project I created an inspirational frame.  These are really popular at the moment and I have been dying to create one with my own arty background!  I was really inspired by some a friend of mine Melissa Kennedy created and thought they would make a divine gift for some special friends!

I created my arty background keeping it quite flat so that I could stamp a clear image.  If there are any bumps it is likely to miss little areas (these can be fixed with a black permanent maker though).  I then stamped the 'Make it count Be Amazing' words using a black permanent ink pad.  I couldn't handle no dimension at all so added a little stenciling with thick Gesso to finish it off.

Well I hope you enjoyed my sneak projects today!

Spellbinders Celebrations, Shimmerz and Fun stampers come together to create this divine card

Wow isn't the year going quick!!  I can't believe that December is JUST around the corner and I'm still playing catch up from being so sick earlier this year.  6 weeks of no work has sure taken its toll on me thats for sure!

Well enough of my winging, I wanted to share with you a tutorial for a card I created with some REALLY fun products!  For today's card I have teamed up Spellbinders Celebrations collection cardstock and die set, with Shimmerz Sprays and Spellbinders dies along with and a Fun Stamper's Journey stencil and Fun Stampers Journey Gesso.  OH how divine they come together!

Using sprays to colour various items as part of the project, really helps to

For my card today I used the following  products:

Spellbinders Celebrations 'Cotton Candy'
Spellbinders Celebrations 'Whirl White'
Spellbinders Celebrations Fun Sentiments die set
Spellbinders wreath die set

Fun Stampers Journey Gesso
Fun Stampers Journey 'Stained Glass' Stencil
Shimmerz Vibes in Egg Noggin
Shimmerz Spritz in Truffle, Cotton Candy and Bamboo leaf

Here are some step shots showing how the card came together and how I used the divine products by Shimmerz, Fun Stampers Journey and Spellbinders

I started off with some stencilling onto the background with Gesso onto a 4.5 x 4.5" square of 'Whirl White' Celebrations collection cardstock.

I then added some Shimmerz Spritz Cotton candy

To add some interest I added sprays of an additional Shimmerz Spritz in Bamboo leaf drying between the layers.

I then took some die cuts of the 'Wreath' die from Spellbinders die cut from the Whirl White Spellbinders Celebrations collection by Richard Garay in Whirl white and coloured using the sprays as shown

Add some additional colour by spraying a few areas of the die cuts with the Egg Noggin' Vibes spray and the Truffle Spritz spray.  Layer the 3 die cuts on the card

To tie in the colours of the flowers better I coloured them with the Cotton Candy Spritz spray to match in with the 'Cotton Candy' Celebrations Collection Cardstock in Cotton Candy

Once the white square card was coloured and backed with the pink 'Cotton Candy' cardstock I adhered it to a 5 x 5" square card base cut from the Celebrations 'Cotton Candy' cardstock.  I layered up the wreath die cuts adhering with some silicone glue for dimension.  Lastly I die cut the Celebrate word from gold foil cardstock for a fun pop of metallic goodness again adhering with silicone adhesive along with the flowers to finish.

Thanks for heading over to my blog today and I hope you've enjoyed my share!

Till next time
