Oh sweet boy creating with Cocoa Vanilla Studio

Hey there everyone I wanted to pop in today to share with you a couple of oh so sweet boy projects I recently created for some sweet boys.  I have made it a point this year to create more pattern paper projects having fun layering like I used to!  There are so many divine collections out there that I really want to start to buy more and use more!

I just adore creating for boys and the So Rad collection by Cocoa Vanilla Studio made this totally easy!

I had so much fun layering up and having fun with the different elements in the collection.

As I said, just a quick share today but I hope to be back with more real soon!

Happy Crafting!

Divine pretty-ness with Ruby Rock-it Bella fundamentals

Hi Everyone, I'm back again with a sweet scrapbook page share.  Today I wanted to have fun with the beautiful patterns in the papers teaming it up with the featured doilies of this month.  I can't wait to take you through what I've done.

Ruby Rock-it Bella! Fundamentals Product list:

Other products
Grey cardstock
White Cardstock

To get started I first cut out part of my title using my silhouette machine.  I then inked it up with a grey permanent ink pad and then applied a coat of a thin gesso.  I love the Faber-Castell gesso for this as it is quite thin allowing some of the colour to peek through.  The perfect way to tone down a stronger colour.

I just got my hands on my new alignment guides and knew they would be perfect for adding my titles to my scrapbook pages.  I used it for the larger exploring word as well as the 'Phoenix' word I created with the help of my trusty Bella fundamentals alphabet sticker packs!

I also included some Bella flowers in my design teamed up with fun die cut flowers as well.  I love adding different textures together as it creates beautiful interest to the page.

I hope you enjoyed my share today!  I can't wait to be back with more!

RG Deals celebrate birthdays this week - Scrapbook page

Hi Everyone, I'm back here today with a sweet RG share!  This time I've created a fun scrapbook page for you to enjoy.

I created the page using products from one of the latest RG deals:

This deal can be purchased HERE until Friday, February 17th at 11:59PM US EST.

I have created a process video for you to enjoy watching and hopefully create your own after getting your hands on this amazing deal!  click on the picture below to watch.

The embossed effect created by the die cut vellum is a little hard to see in the main photo, hopefully you can see it a little more in these pictures.  I can say it looks AMAZING in real life!

That little elephant is WAY to cute with his party hat on!

What a cool finishing element the die cut makes on the corner of this page!

Stamped sentiments make really cool title elements on scrapbook pages, so why limit them to just your card making!

Designer for RG Make Amazing Team

All stitched up for Valentines day cards with Ruby Rock-it Bella Fundamentals

Hi Everyone love is in the air and I have had so much fun creating some sweet cards ready for Valentines day, a wedding or even an anniversary.  I couldn't stop at one card today so I created 3 for you to enjoy!

I got a Silhouette machine for Christmas and I have been enjoying having a little fun with it lately.   I just knew teaming up some cut files with these divine papers and embellishments in the Fundamentals ranges would be just perfect!  You may have noticed I have a running affair with the doilies, well today I'm going to show you a neat way to use them on your cards.

Here are the 3 cards I created.

I decided to explore the different colours in the collections teaming them up with the beautiful colourful card bases.  For my first card I went with the sweet green tone.

Head to the Ruby Rock-it blog for a full list of the products i used

HERE

I wanted to share with you how I created it, so hear goes!

I started by creating some fun cut files, I'll use these for the 3 cards.

I created this layered heart from a couple of cut files on the silhouette machine.

I took the square design and adhered some strips of the 'Trimming' pattern paper behind to highlight some of the words.

Next I added some stitching around the edge, backed it onto some white cardstock and adhered to the coloured card base.
Next I added one of the sweet doilies followed by the heart

To finish I added a silver cord bow followed by a smaller heart which I also added some stitching around.

Here are some more pictures so you can get up close to my card.

Now onto the second card!

I took the second of my silhouette cuts and added some of the 'chevron' pattern paper behind.  Layering this onto some embossed cardstock I stitched around the layers before adhering together.

To add the cluster I layered a doily, silver cord bow and a layered heart.

To create the heart I cut out 3 different sized hearts and stitched them together with a line down the middle.  I then folded the layers up for some sweet dimension.

Here are some up close pictures of the card.  I just love the pattern papers peeking through the negative space of the cut words.

So you are still waiting for the neat idea to use the doilies!  Well in the third card I used them in a fun way.

Rather than adding an embossed feature to this card I created the illusion of embossing by adhering the doilies to the background instead.  They look amazingly sweet used in this way I think.

I love the sweet hearts on the 'lovehearts' paper and they are just a perfect embellishment at times as well.

Well Valentines day is just around the corner and I now just have one dilemma... which one do I choose to give to my dear hubby??

Hope you enjoyed my share today.

Quick Cards with Beck BT - 02 - Ruby Rock-it

Hi Everyone I'm back again and today I'm going to share with you my second card in my new series.  'Quick cards with Beck BT'  I hope you enjoy them and find some easy designs to re-create yourself and hopefully get some of you started on the cardmaking journey!

For my second creation I created it using the a new line by Bella Fundamentals once again and perfectly matched with card No. 1.    I am adoring working with these papers and I hope my short video shows how easy card making really can me!

I think the hardest part at times is working out what you want to place where.  If you aren't confident with that yet, use some inspiration (like my cards) and re-create them yourself.  Before you know it you will be changing up more and more of the design to your personal taste and be on your way creating your own designs!

Here is my second card!
